Effective January 1, 2004 PROTECTING YOUR PRIVACY Barrage pledges to be responsible to you in regard to the type of personal information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose it. The privacy and the integrity of your personal information are important to us. We are dedicated to being privacy compliant in all aspects of our business activities. We pledge to be responsible to the public in providing our product and services and in the course of providing these services, in gathering their personal information. While we recognize and appreciate that many Barrage fans may be minors, children's privacy is also very important to us. We do not knowingly collect any personal or financial information from children under the age of 13, and we encourage parents to monitor their children's Internet usage. Our Privacy Policy is intended to provide you with specifics of the information we may collect from you, how we use it, disclose it and retain it, and the guidelines that we adhere to in order to protect that information. Any personal information you provide to us is managed according to Canadian privacy legislation, the Safe Harbour provisions in the United States, the European Union Privacy Directive, and the Data Protection Act in the United Kingdom. Additionally, we aim to adhere to a coherent privacy policy for those regions of the world that may not have privacy legislation at this time. This means that prior to or at the time of collection you will be informed that your personal information is being collected, the purpose(s) of collection, use and disclosure, and the name and contact information of our Privacy Officer so that you can ask any questions that you may have in regard to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information. We will from time to time review and revise our Privacy Policy, and any amendments will be implemented as soon as reasonably possible in our office location, and on our web site. Policy amendments apply to personal information collected from the date of the posting of the amendments and to existing information held by Barrage. As such, this Privacy Policy applies to existing information we have collected from you to date. Registering and Participating in Barrage's Workshops The Store Credit Card Security For on-line purchases, a third party e-commerce facilitator stores this information on its servers from which we access it and a real person processes your order manually through our non-online banking processes. Please refer to the Privacy Policy of our third party e-commerce facilitator, Storesonline, for more information. Barrage does not store any of your credit card information online, which makes it virtually impossible for your credit card information to be stolen through our web site. The paper record created when we access your order from Storesonline is then stored on our office premises under lock, and retained for 3 years until it is deposed of by shredding. For mail or fax purchases, the credit card information for your purchase is processed by a real person, and not connected to the Internet in any way. We consistently ensure that your contact information and credit card transactions are secure and safe through the most convenient and efficient methods available. In the event there are fraudulent or unauthorized charges on your credit card, your bank cannot, by law, hold you liable for any charge over $50. If your bank does hold you liable, Barrage will cover the entire liability, up to the full $50, if the unauthorized use of your credit card resulted, through no fault of your own, in purchases made at Barrage while using any of our secure payment options. In the event of unauthorized use of your credit card, you must notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.
